RSCM Silver Award Success

St Paul's Episcopal Church entered a number of choristers for a new Royal School of Church Music examination.  The RSCM Silver Award is a demanding examination which involves the performance of a number of set pieces, as well as aural tests and detailed questions on different aspects of liturgical music.  The candidates from St Paul's were the first choristers to take the examination in the United States.

Congratulations to – Nicholas Kienzle (Distinction), Holly Scovell (Distinction), Sarah Turley (Distinction), Elizabeth Haase (Merit), Katie Norton-Smith (Merit), and Richard Crafton (Pass).

The names of our successful choristers have now been posted on the RSCM America website.

New Musical debuts at St Paul’s

More than two hundred people attended the US workshop premiere of That Pig, Morin – a musical comedy by Jamie Hitel and S.J.M. Watson.

The purpose of the workshop was first, to test the material in front of a live audience, and secondly, to create interest in the musical to allow it to proceed to the next step – a full production.

If you would like to find out more about how you can support the dream of taking That Pig, Morin to the next step, please contact Jamie Hitel (extension 29) for an information pack (including a DVD and audio recording), or visit the website - www.thatpigmorin.com - for further details.
